BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring is encouraging farmers and fertilizer dealers to get their anhydrous ammonia nurse tanks ready for planting season.
Goehring says state Agriculture Department staff will visit businesses and farms on request to help get tanks into compliance, and guard against accidental releases of anhydrous.
Goehring says the goal is to help tank owners _ not to issue citations for noncompliance.
Agriculture Department staff also are available for anhydrous safety training upon request.
