3 North Dakota groups get funding for autism projects

BISMARK, N.D. (AP)  Three North Dakota organizations will split nearly $15,000 to help people with autism spectrum disorders and their families.

The state Department of Human Services' Autism Services Division awarded $14,860 in small community education and training grants to Development Homes Incorporated in Grand Forks, the North Dakota Autism Center in West Fargo and Family Voices of North Dakota in Edgeley.

Applications will be taken until June 1st for autism-specific education and training for service providers, parents, and first responders, peer-to-peer education and related activities.
