FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- City commission candidate Scott Wagner is offering an alternative to pay for a new city hall.
Wagner, a former Cass County Commissioner, says a small amount of state money that the city receives, reserve dollars and bonding could cover the cost. His analysis shows that the city has $22-million in reserve.
Wagner, appearing on KFGO's "Mike McFeely Show," also says he thinks a decision on the project should be put off until after the Apr. 28 election to give contractors time to determine where they might be able to cut costs.
