A survey by Metropolitan Area Transit finds those riding buses in the Fargo-Moorhead area like what they see but they want more services. Transit manager Lori Van Beek says respondants are willing to pay more for additional services.
Most want MATBUS hours expanded to provide later evening service, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Routes now run until 11:15 pm. Riders also want Sunday bus service.
Nearly 1700 people answered the survey, one of the best responses MATBUS has ever had.
The survey marks the kick-off of the transit system's new long range planning process which will include focus group's and community meetings.
