WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - The Williams County Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident in which bullets were fired into an occupied parked car, apparently at random.
Authorities say two females were sitting in the parked car off a rural roadway Tuesday when a pickup truck drove by, and two gunshots fired from the pickup hit the car.
Neither female was hit by a bullet but one was injured by flying glass.
Sergeant Detective Caleb Fry says there is no indication that the people in the two vehicles knew one another.
