TARGO (KFGO-AM) - The driver of a stolen truck led authorities on a nearly hour long pursuit that started on I-94 in the Moorhead area and ended north of Fargo.
The state patrol says once the truck turned onto northbound I-29, spike strips set out at Harwood flattened most of the truck's tires. The driver continued for 15 miles, then veered into a ditch and he fled on foot but was caught without incident.
Michael Spivey, 44, who has no permanent address, faces charges of felony reckless endangerment, fleeing in a vehicle, unauthorized use of a vehicle and dui.
Speeds in the pursuit ranged from 20 mph to 75 mph. The chase was initiated after a state trooper attempted to pull the vehicle over in south Moorhead around 5 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
