GRAND FORKS (KFGO-AM) -- A suspect in a fatal shooting of a man in Grand Forks has reached a plea deal to lesser charges.
Dametrian Welch, 19, was charged with murder and burglary along with Delvin Shaw. They're accused of killing Jose Lopez in his apartment last June.
Welch has agreed to plead guilty to a reduced charge of facilitating murder. He's expected to get 8-years in prison when he's sentenced May 20.
Shaw is asking the court for a new attorney. His trial is set to begin march 24.
