WEST FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- Two members of the Fargo Fire department and two members of the Moorhead Fire department are among the eight finalists for the position of West Fargo fire chief along with assistant West Fargo Fire Chief Dell Sprecher.
Matt Nelson and Jesse Schmidt with Fargo Fire are on the list along with Chad Stangeland and Daniel Oldham with Moorhead. Another finalist is a fire inspector with the St. Paul Fire Dept. while the remaining two are with the Minot fire and Arlington County, Virginia fire departments.
West Fargo Fire Chief Roy Schatschneider is retiring this summer. He's served as chief for 22 years.
The pay range is between $65,000 and $90,000 dollars a year.
