WEST FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- Fire damaged a mobile home in West Fargo Thursday morning. The fire at 911 2nd Ave. E. in Brookwood Mobile Home Court was reported around 9:40 a.m.
Fire Chief Roy Schatschneider says when fire crews arrived there was a lot of heavy smoke coming from under the trailer. They also saw flames. Firefighters ripped off the skirting on the trailer and quickly put the fire out.
Schatschneider says it appears the fire may have been sparked by malfunctioning heat tape on pipes under the trailer.
A family inside the mobile home got out safely.
