WEST FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- Titan Machinery has closed two agriculture locations in South Dakota and a construction equipment store in Wyoming. The company says they'll be consolidated with nearby locations.
Ag. dealerships in Britton and Bowdle, South Dakota have been closed along with a construction store in Casper, Wy.
Titan CEO David Meyer cites a decline in agriculture revenue and a slowly recovering construction industry. The company says the closings, job cuts and not filling open positions represent 14% of Titan's total workforce.
Titan Machinery was founded in 1980. It has 92 dealerships in 11 states, two outlet stores and 16 locations in Europe.
