MOORHEAD, Minn. (KFGO-AM) - Clay County Commission Chairman Grant Weyland wants an explanation from the Otter Tail County Commission about some disparaging comments directed at the city of Fargo.
In a letter to the Otter Tail County Board, Weyland says the remarks were allegedly made during a Buffalo-Red River Watershed District meeting in January. The letter, obtained by KFGO News, says Otter Tail County Manager Peter Fjestad was told by Otter Tail County commissioners to "stick it to Fargo" if he gets the opportunity.
Weyland says the Clay County Commission is “extremely disappointed” and says he has no idea what may have led up to the remarks.
Otter Tail County Commission Chairman John Lindquist has not been available to comment.
