MINNEAPOLIS (KFGO-AM) -- Don't surprised if you see helicopters along I-94 between Fargo and Alexandria, Minn. on Thursday.
"CapX2020" will be doing aerial inspections of its 240-mile high voltage transmission line from Fargo to Monticello, Minn. The helicopter will fly within 50 feet of the lines and towers to determine if there are any defects.
"CapX2020" is a joint project of 11 power companies including Xcel Energy, Minnkota Power and Otter Tail Power.
