LARIMORE, N.D. (KFGO-AM) -- A report from the North Dakota Highway Patrol says the driver of a school bus which was hit by a train near Larimore in early Jan. shows the bus driver died of injuries suffered in the crash, and not of a medical condition.
The report says there were no mechanical issues with the bus. The bus came to an abrupt stop as it approached the crossing, with the front-end over the tracks.
Cassidy Sandstrom, 17, died in the crash, along with the bus driver, 62 year-old Max Danner.
10 students were taken to the hospital with injuries.
