WAHPETON, N.D. (AP) Coming from a basketball family has helped two Wahpeton siblings become leaders in points and rebounds on their respective varsity teams.
Blaze Irwin is leading the boys basketball team as the conference's top seed, while his younger sister, Tylee, is relishing in her role as captain of the girls basketball team. Both of them have grown up around the game thanks to their father, who's a former basketball coach at North Dakota State College of Science, and their older sister.
They tell the Wahpeton Daily News that they've benefited from playing one-on-one games with each other as well as their sister, Tawny, who has played college basketball.
Blaze, a senior, broke a school record last month for most points scored in a varsity career.
