MINOT, N.D. (AP) Kennedy Keator had 21 points to lead Dickinson Trinity to a 66-57 win over Thompson on Thursday in the first round of the North Dakota Class B girls basketball tournament.
Keator was 7 for 14 from the field and perfect on six free throw attempts. She was one of four Titan players in double figures, including Alanna Sickler with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Brianna Soehren had 16 points and Abigayle Jones 11 for Trinity (20-5).
Thompson (22-3) got a team-high 20 points from Emily Overby and Shaice Marx. Overby had three 3-pointers and Marx was 6 for 8 from the lines and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Tommies.
Thompson scored the first points of the game but Trinity took the lead for good with 6:03 left in the first quarter.
