ANKENY, IA. (KFGO-AM) -- Nearly a year after the purchase of 24 Stop-N-Go convenience stores, Iowa-based Casey's General Stores is working to remodel and update the locations in Fargo-Moorhead and eastern North Dakota. Three stores were closed after Casey's took over.
While he won't disclose what Casey's paid for the Stop-N-Go chain, company Chief Financial Officer Bill Walljasper says Casey's is spending about $25-million on improvements. Walljasper says most of the work will be completed by mid-to-late summer.
He says Casey's, which has more than 1800 stores in 14 states, is exploring other opportunities for new stores and acquisitions, especially in eastern North Dakota.
