FARGO (KFGO-AM) A Fargo man was jailed and faces a long list of charges for leading Fargo police on brief pursuit's and a collision with two squad cars Wednesday night.
It started when the driver fled an accident after police saw him assaulting a female passenger. A pursuit was called off when the driver went the wrong on North University Drive. The pursuit picked up again when the car was spotted in the Oak Grove area. It ended when the cars collided in the Woodcrest neighborhood and 38-year old Roland Dorr was arrested.
Lt. Joel Vettel says the case is also under internal department review to make sure officers followed proper procedures. He says that's standard policy whenever pursuits or police force is involved.
Vettel says it appears Dorr crashed into the squad cars deliberately. Dorr is facing charges of D-U-I, refusal of a D-U-I test, reckless endangerment, fleeing, preventing arrest, driving under suspension and reckless driving. He was also wanted on two outstanding warrants.
