Finalists picked for Regional Dispatch Center Director

FARGO (KFGO-AM) - A former Fargo police officer and the assistant director of the Red River Regional Dispatch Center are among four finalists to be the center's next director.

Mary Phillippi has been with the dispatch center since 2002. Tod Dahle was with the Fargo Police Department for 23 years. He left in 2010 as a captain and is now a doctoral student at NDSU. Both are from Moorhead.

Peter Behnke of Deltona, Florida and Robert Smith of Centerville, Virginia. Both have extensive backgrounds with 911 operations and public safety. The four will be interviewed early next month by a selection committee and a new director is expected to be hired by early April.

Byron Sieber is retiring after heading up the dispatch center in 2008. The job pays between $85,000 and $111,000 a year, depending on experience. 28 people applied.
