WEST FARG0 (KFGO-AM) - A driver who managed to elude Cass County deputies and Fargo police in stolen vehicles overnight was caught by West Fargo police.
Sargent Adam Gustafson says officers attempted to stop a speeding pickup on 12th Avenue North. The vehicle headed south and ended up getting stuck in deep snow behind Haser's Auto and Truck Salvage on 9th Street Northeast. That's where police caught up with Zachary Rogers, 24, of Fargo. He's facing a long list of charges including, possession of a stolen vehicle, fleeing and reckless endangerment. He was also wanted on 5 warrants. Gustafson says Rogers may also be a suspect in a string of vehicle thefts in the area over the weekend.
The incident started as deputies attempted to pull over a pickup on Highway 81 near Harwood when the vehicle sped off, nearly hitting a deputy. Police say he ditched that vehicle and took another pickup from a farm just north of Fargo and was then pursued by Fargo police.
