MOORHEAD (KFGO-AM) -- Some Moorhead Public Service customers have been receiving bogus calls demanding immediate payment. MPS says it's a scam and you should never provide financial information over the phone.
Some of the calls have been automated, others are from a person seeking payment. MPS uses automated messages to call people with past due balances but does not demand direct payment.
Anyone who receives such a call should hang up immediately and call MPS.
