FARGO (KFGO-AM) - A fast moving storm system is spreading a wintery mix of snow and freezing rain into the region.
The eastern half of North Dakota and much of Minnesota is in a winter weather advisory. The system is expected to dump 1 to 4 inches of snow with some five inch amounts possible. KFGO forecaster Terry Spies says the Fargo-Moorhead area could see 2 to 3 inches of snow.
The system will exit the region by Tuesday night but gusty north winds may produce patchy blowing and drifting snow overnight.
Light freezing drizzle created slick conditions on streets and highways. Drivers need to slow down and pay attention to changing road conditions Tuesday.
