The dog abandoned by a woman in West Fargo has found a new home.
Homeward Animal Shelter of Fargo posted on its Facebook page today that Serrano, a husky/pit bull mix, has been adopted.
Serrano was in the news earlier this week because West Fargo police released a video showing a woman stopping at an intersection and letting the dog out of her vehicle before driving away. The woman turned herself into police a short time after local media disseminated the video.
Abandonment of a dog is a Class A misdemeanor in North Dakota.
Serrano's new owner is identified as Cole on the shelter's Facebook page.
