Moorhead (KFGO-AM) - The toll charged to cross the northside bridge that links Fargo and Moorhead is going away.
Moorhead Mayor Del Rae Williams says a city official signed off on a court document turning over the privately owned bridge to Moorhead and Fargo.
Williams is pleased after long delays, that it's now "official"
Ownership of the bridge has been tied up in a lawsuit for more than a year.
An estimated 600 to 2,000 vehicles use the bridge daily. Anticipating a higher traffic flow because of the change, Fargo has installed a four way stop at the intersection of 12th Avenue North and Elm Street.
