BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO-AM) North Dakota's Department of Transportation is teaming up with United Tribes Technical College on workforce training.
Officials say the new partnership will enhance the Bismarck school's curriculum and provide a pathway for trained workers to fill high-demand transportation jobs across the state.
Students in the college's heavy equipment operator and commercial driver's license programs will get hands-on experience with the DOT, including job shadowing, mentoring and training.
The Bismarck college is run by American Indian tribes in North Dakota.
