Hawley's Ben Ellefson and Fargo South's Ty Brooks are among 26 high school athletes who signed national letters of intent Wednesday to play football for North Dakota State.
Fargo Shanley's Tre Fort also signed a letter of intent as a preferred walk-on.
Ellefson is a 6-foot-4, 226-pound tight end for the Nuggets. Brooks is a 5-9, 155-pound defensive back for the Bruins.
The Bison, four-time national champions in the Football Championship Subdivision, signed eight players out of the Twin Cities area. Also among their recruits were fullback Brock Robbins from Cavalier, N.D., and quarterback James Hendricks from Bemidji, Minn.
