MAHNOMEN, MINN. (KFGO-AM) Mahnomen County authorities are looking for your help in catching whoever is responsible for a string of suspected arson fires.
Twin Lakes Fire Chief Ed Snetsinger says his department responded to the latest fire in Nay-tah-waush Friday that destroyed a home. Fire departments from Twin Lakes, Mahnomen and Waubun were on the scene for about 4 hours.
Snetsinger says there have been at least five suspicious fires in the past 9 weeks. All have involved unoccupied houses.
Anyone with information that leads to an arrest is asked to call the Minnesota Arson Hotline or the sheriff's office in Mahnomen. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
