Higher demand for food help

FARGO, ND. (KFGO AM) -- More people in the FM area needed help putting food on the table last year.

The Emergency Food Pantry gave food to more than 30,000 people in nearly 9,000 households in Cass and Clay counties.

That's a 15 percent increase from 2012, and a whopping 46 percent increase since 2008.

Last year, over $2 million worth for food was given out by the Emergency Food Pantry.
