COMSTOCK, Minn. (KFGO AM) -- Opponents of the proposed FM Diversion Project are confident that their new plan is the way to go to provide flood protection for the FM metro area.
Hundreds turned out in Comstock last night to get a look at the alternative proposal offered by the MN-DAK Upstream Coalition.
The group representing areas south of Fargo that would be impacted by the diversion say their plan would create less damage and cost less.
Cass County Administrator, Keith Berndt backs the current diversion plan and says engineers have looked at alternatives but the one now planned is best.
