MOORHEAD, Minn. (KFGO-AM) - A former Moorhead day care owner has pleaded guilty to a charge of neglect and endangerment of a child.
As part of a plea agreement, 54-year-old Jayne Cote was given a six-month suspended jail sentence and ordered to pay a fine and fees.
Assistant Clay County Attorney Lori Conroy says the state is satisfied with the outcome. Conroy says the plea agreement is in the best interest of everyone involved.
When police arrived at Cote's day care in October, her blood-alcohol level was 0.18.
Cote apologized during the hearing and said she’s disappointed in her behavior. Cote said she recently completed alcohol treatment and hasn't had a drink since last October.
