GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) Zach Mills scored 17 points and Mikh McKinney added 13, including a short bank shot with one second left to lift Sacramento State to a 63-61 win over North Dakota on Thursday.
Alex Tiffin added 12 points and Dylan Garrity 10 for the Hornets (9-5, 3-0 Big Sky), who won their fourth straight and matched the best start since joining the league in 1996.
Sacramento State led 34-30 at halftime but the margin was never more than five in the second half.
Carson Shanks had 14 points for UND (5-9, 1-2) in just his fourth game after transferring from Utah State. Jaron Nash, who had nine rebounds, and Terrel de Rouen, who missed a desperation heave at the buzzer, both had 11 points.
Nash had a dunk with 1:36 left to put UND up 61-59 but Cody Demps counted for Sacramento State at 1:08. Nash missed a driving runner with 33 seconds remaining.
