OMAHA, Neb. (AP) Lawrence Alexander scored 18 points, Paul Miller made six consecutive free throws in the last 11 seconds and North Dakota State held off Nebraska-Omaha 75-72 on Thursday.
A.J. Jacobson scored 17 points with eight rebounds and Dexter Werner added 14 points. Miller finished with 10 points and was 8 of 8 from the line overall.
CJ Carter's jumper with 7:49 left in the first gave Omaha a 24-23 lead, but the Bison closed on an 11-3 run and led 34-27 at halftime.
Marcus Tyus' 3-pointer, followed by Devin Patterson's traditional three-point play, put Omaha up 52-48 with 8:28 left.
North Dakota State (11-5, 3-0 Summit League) responded with a 13-2 surge, capped by Alexander's 3-pointer, to lead by seven with 4:18 left and the Bison held off Omaha down the stretch.
Tre'Shawn Thurman and Mike Rostampour led Omaha (7-8, 1-2) with 18 points apiece, and Thurman grabbed eight boards.
