MOORHEAD (KFGO-AM) -- A task force is recommending more than $78 million in construction and remodeling projects for Moorhead Public Schools, including a new elementary school and an addition to the middle school.
Superintendent Lynne Kovash says the district wants to make sure it doesn't over-build. She says right now they're taking input and gathering feedback before a final recommendation comes in Feb.
A dozen years ago, Moorhead Public Schools saw student numbers decrease. Some schools were closed, others were remodeled, and a new elementary school was built further south. Kovash says since then, the city has grown, and now they don't have enough space.
