Larimore, N.D. (KFGO-AM) -- The bus driver and a 17 year-old student were killed Monday afternoon in a collision between a Larimore school bus and a Burlington-Northern Santa Fe Railway train.
The crash happened shortly after 3:30pm at a crossing on a gravel road east of Larimore, which is west of Grand Forks. The bus driver was 62. The state patrol says they were ejected from the bus.
State Patrol Lt. Troy Hischer says 11 or 12 other people were injured. He says the bus was northbound when it was struck by a freight train headed west.
Hischer says weather does not appear to a factor in the collision.
