FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- A pickup that police believe was stolen by a bank robbery suspect was recovered over the weekend in a parking lot west of West Acres in Fargo.
The pickup and driver were taken at gunpoint following the robbery of the Wells Fargo branch in Hornbacher's in downtown Moorhead last Monday. Police had issued an alert for the pickup.
Malcolm Evans, 52, of Fargo is facing charges for the hold-up and carjacking. He was arrested at a Fargo motel. The owner of the truck was released. A sawed-off shotgun was used in the bank robbery.
Investigators say Evans concealed the shotgun when he took a city bus to the scene of the robbery.
