A man who police say rammed a squad car while trying to flee West Fargo officers pleads guilty. Twenty-five-year-old Jean Roubideaux entered an Alford plea in court for several charges including reckless endangerment and felony posession of a firearm.
After he rammed the car, police chased Roubideaux through backyards near West Fargo High School where he's accused of trying to get into a home.
Roubideaux claims someone stole his ID and that he did not commit the crimes.
He is sentenced to three years in prison.
Roubideaux's attorney Nick Thornton says, "My client decided that he wanted to change his plea so we entered pleas, he received the sentencing recommendation that the prosecutor and I negotiated on these offenses and he's happy with the result."
An Alford plea means he says he maintains his innocence, but acknowledges there's enough evidence to convict him.
