MOORHEAD (KFGO-AM) -- The owners of the F-M area's only toll bridge have filed an appeal with the North Dakota Supreme Court, asking judges to review a district court judge's decision awarding ownership of the privately owned bridge to the cities of Fargo and Moorhead.
A 25-year lease agreement between the Bridge Company and the two cities expired more than a year ago. Owners argued the bridge was still in debt and had a right to an extension to recoup losses before giving it up.
Bridge Company attorney Randolph Stefanson says he's also filed a motion asking the district court to delay its order last month to turn over the bridge to the cities of Fargo and Moorhead within 10 days.
