Williston, N.D. (AP) A man who authorities accuse of stabbing his roommate at a North Dakota hotel is facing various charges including attempted murder.
Joshua Thomas Floyd has also been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. The stabbing at a Williston hotel occurred after the roommates had a fight about money.
A criminal complaint filed in the case shows officers found the victim with cuts on his neck and shoulder. The victim told police the brawl started after the hotel charged him $500 because Floyd was smoking marijuana in the room.
The complaint shows the victim's cuts required at least 30 stitches. It states police found marijuana in Floyd's jacket.
Floyd's attorney didn't immediately return a call seeking comment.
Records don't list Floyd's hometown.
