Hunters help collar Moorhead shoplifter

MOORHEAD (KFGO-AM) A shoplifter who fled Target in Moorhead Saturday morning is in custody thanks to help from some deer hunters.

Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist says the suspect fled the store and as he attempted to drive off, ran on foot after he was questioned by a Dilworth police officer. Bergquist, who also happened to driving nearby, says a pickup full of hunters, saw the man being chased, jumped out of their truck and told the suspect he'd better stop. He did.

The man's facing charges of shoplifting, fleeing and vehicle theft. The car he was driving had been reported as stolen.
