MOORHEAD, Minn. (KFGO-AM) - Moorhead police have arrested the second suspect in a series of local business robberies. Officers took 37-year-old Arturo Amador-Diaz into custody at around 3 am Tuesday.
Lt. Tory Jacobson says Amador-Diaz called police from a local grocery store and said he wanted to surrender.
Amador-Diaz is facing multiple counts of robbery and motor vehicle theft along with 30-year-old Stephanie Padilla. The pair has been linked to about a half-dozen robberies. Police say the list is expected to grow.
Investigators say money from the robberies was used to buy heroin.
