FARGO, ND. (KFGO AM) -- With energy bills skyrocketing this time of year, there are options to help pay your heating bill.
Xcel energy provides a low income home energy assistance program for households in Fargo and Moorhead that qualify.
Another option is an equalized billing plan that averages your usage for the year, charging a similar amount each month.
Xcel Energy's Mark Nisbet says they know that this time of year can be a struggle for low income families.
Moorhead Public Service also offers an equalized billing plan for residents who have good payment history and have lived in the area for at least a year.
