MOORHEAD (KFGO-AM) -- Many homeless community members will soon receive better services thanks to a big donation to Churches United for the Homeless in Moorhead.
Sammons Financial Group donated $115,000 to the organization through a 2014 employee directed grant.
They will now be able to buy cameras, safety doors, an intercom system and better flooring.
For the last two days, Sammons employees have been helping with cleaning and painting at Churches United.
"We want to make sure that this place feels like home and we're providing a spirit of hospitality and hope and encouragement," said Shelter Operations Director Mike Almquist.
The money will also help double the amount of bathrooms for families and community members to use.
