FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- The cause of an apartment fire at 2709 15th St. S. in Fargo late Monday afternoon is under investigation.
Firefighters responded shortly before 5:30 p.m. to a report of a fire and explosion and found flames coming from a second floor apartment window. The fire was put out within 10 minutes and fire damage was limited to one bedroom where the fire started. There was smoke damage to the rest of the apartment and light smoke damage to the second and third floors of the building.
The estimated damage is put at $75,000.
No one was home when the fire broke out and a reason for the loud noise has not been explained.
The Red Cross is assisting two people displaced by the fire.
