FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- North Dakota's only long-term residential treatment and recovery center for people addicted to meth is in need of funding.
The Robinson Recovery Center in Fargo was spearheaded by State Senator Larry Robinson eight years ago. What started as a fifteen bed experiment has grown to a fourty-five bed center with more than sixty people on a waiting list.
Program Director Bill Sparke says they are badly underfunded. Sharehouse oversees the Robinson Center and makes up the $90,000 a year shortfall.
Robinson says if he can get the word out about how well the center is doing, North Dakota can get on top of the meth problem. Robinson hopes to address the issue in the next legislative session.
