CHURCHS FERRY, NORTH DAKOTA (KFGO-AM) -- A Rock Lake, North Dakota woman was treated for hypothermia after she lost control of a car and ended up in a water-filled slough.
A State Trooper waded through water waist deep to pull Mertie Kurtti, 81, from the submerged car. The water was up to Kurtti's neck when the trooper pulled her out. She was taken to the Devils Lake hospital.
The crash happened on Hwy 281 Wednesday afternoon.
