MOORHEAD (KFGO-AM) -- A body was found in the Red River Monday afternoon is that of a Moorhead man who was reported missing Sunday morning.
Police Lt. Tory Jacobson says the body of 79 year-old Richard Evanson was found by firefighters in a boat about 3:30pm.
His family was concerned. He had medical issues and had left home without his wallet or his phone.
An autopsy will be done by the Ramsey County medical examiner to pinpoint the cause of death. Jacobson says there's no evience to suggest that a crime played a role in Evanson's death.
