Mandan, N.D. (AP) A consultant says Mandan's water intake system needs to be replaced.
Kenneth Weber with Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services says the project could take five years to complete, and cost as much as $15 million.
Weber says the Missouri River Channel has changed through the years, resulting in sediment buildup at the city's water intake. The intake was built in the mid-1950s.
