BISMARCK (KFGO-AM) -- The North Dakota Real Estate Commission says Fargo Real Estate agent Chuck Carney has agreed to a three-year suspension of his real estate license.
Carney pleaded guilty last month to felony theft for stealing jewelry, cash and other property from the home of a neighbor and friend over several years. Carney was sentenced to three months in a halfway house.
The victim says her losses totaled about $100,000 but she expects to only recover a fraction of that amount from court-ordered restitution.
The Real Estate Commission says Carney would only be able to get his license back after his convictions are reduced to misdemeanors and he is sufficiently rehabilitated.
