FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- The affordable healthcare act or "Obamacare" was one of the topics covered in a wide-ranging debate between the three candidates for North Dakota's seat in the US House on KFGO. Libertarian Jack Seaman says the law should go.
Democrat George Sinner says the law isn't perfect, but it has raised Medicare reimbursement to North Dakota hosptials by hundreds of millions of dollars.
Republican Congressman Kevin Cramer says he can find many flaws in the healthcare law. But, he might be willing to consider doing away with parts of it while making improvements elsewhere.
Sinner, in response to Cramer, says its the first time that he's heard the congressman ever mention that he'd be open to reworking the affordable healthcare act. It was the fifth meeting between the three with one more debate scheduled before election day.
The debate was carried "live" on the News & Views radio network. It was moderated by KFGO News Director Paul Jurgens with questions from KFGO reporter Jim Monk and Associated Press Correspondent Dave Kolpack.
