FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- The mother of a State College of Science student whose body was found in the Red River in Breckenridge, Minnesota says she remains convinced that he was murdered.
20 year-old Andrew Sadek disappeared from the Wahpeton campus May 1. His body was discovered June 27.
Tammy Sadek, of Rogers, North Dakota, says agents with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension won't look beyond their initial conclusion that the death was a suicide. Sadek says she believes that her son was murdered because he had been forced into becoming a confidential drug informant for the Southeast-Multi County Drug Task Force after he was caught with marijuana.
She says Andrew was wearing clothes she had never seen before and his phone was not in the pocket where he usually kept it.
Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem has ordered an outside review of the drug task force based on concerns raised by the Sadek family.
