ORISKA, N.D. (KFGO-AM) -- Bird hunters headed east on I-94 were diverted off at the Oriska rest area Monday and Tuesday so Game and Fish could visit with them and check for violations.
Game Warden Supervisor Mark Pollert says 29 citations were issued. The biggest violation was for failure to leave identification on game. Hunters are required to leave either the fully-feathered head or wing on their bird until they arrive at their final destination.
Pollert suggests hunters brush up on the rules and regulations before heading out.
